Hose Kid — v0.1

seed seed revision

A spigot-tethered kid whose weapon is also a stage prop other kids can interact with directly.

Legend

⭐ Hose Kid is tethered to a spigot by fifty feet of Chekhov's gun — a physical hose lying across the map that kinks, gets stepped on, and gets shut off at the source (charter §8).

Suburb

A kid holding a garden hose that reaches fifty feet, and never quite far enough.

Current draft

A spigot-tethered kid whose weapon is also a stage prop other kids can interact with directly.

Why this possibility exists

Charter §8 flags Hose Kid as "prototype early" — a Stage 1 stretch goal (§17) — and describes the hose as a physical object with three named interaction verbs (kinks, stepped on, shut off). None of those verbs have been built yet.

Still unresolved

  • Whether the hose-as-object verbs (kink, step-on, shutoff) are simulated or purely presentational.
  • Range and soak-rate numbers — none exist yet.
  • What happens to Hose Kid when the spigot he's tethered to is contested by another kid.
