The Big Kid — v0.1
seed seed revision
A melee kid whose defining mechanic — being singled out of a pile of bodies — cannot be evaluated until unit-unit collision exists.
Legend
The Big Kid is Myth's Trow with the mechanic moved into his silhouette — targetable out of a scrum, and counterintuitively fast for his size (charter §8).
Suburb
A big kid. That's the whole pitch, on purpose.
Current draft
A melee kid whose defining mechanic — being singled out of a pile of bodies — cannot be evaluated until unit-unit collision exists.
Why this possibility exists
decisions.md (2026-07-25) records this roster slot as contested: Anthony suspects the Towel Snapper supersedes him, while the counter-argument is that his §8 mechanic — silhouette targetable out of a scrum — only becomes testable once S3.1's unit-unit collision makes scrums real, so nothing is built for him and the cut costs nothing yet. This dossier is deliberately thin and marked contested rather than resolving the question early.
Still unresolved
- Whether he ships at all — the roster-slot question is open, not a seed-content question.
- His speed number relative to melee peers — "counterintuitively fast" has no value attached.
- What "targetable out of a scrum" requires from collision, which does not exist yet (deferred to the S3.1 design pass).
Featured question
Does the Big Kid survive as a third melee archetype, or do the Paladin and the Snapper already cover melee between them?
