Slingshot Crew — v0.1
seed seed revision
A multi-kid emplacement-adjacent unit whose cost is measured in teammates, not resources.
Legend
Slingshot Crew is a three-kid launcher — enormous range, enormous minimum range, immobile, and defenseless without the crew that operates it (charter §8).
Suburb
Three kids and a water-balloon launcher, dragged into position and argued over.
Current draft
A multi-kid emplacement-adjacent unit whose cost is measured in teammates, not resources.
Why this possibility exists
Charter §8 and §11 both flag this as a negotiated cost — "a unit you negotiate for" — which is a roster-composition idea, not yet a mechanic. Whether it behaves as three kids or as an emplacement three kids operate is unresolved.
Still unresolved
- Minimum crew to fire, and whether losing a crew member mid-fight degrades range or just rate of fire.
- Whether Slingshot Crew counts as one roster entry, three, or something in between.
- Repositioning speed while immobile-but-crewed vs. fully unmanned.
Featured question
Do all three crew slots need to stay filled to fire at all, or does the launcher degrade gracefully as crew peels away?
Evidence
- Charter v8 §8, the roster repo-citation
- Glossary v0.1, the roster in both registers repo-citation
