Suction Blaster

Paired study of the Suction Blaster standing square on an empty cul-de-sac with his mint foam pump blaster level in both hands, one compact bolt of water crossing the street toward a distant kid, and older dark wet marks on the pavement along the same line.

Early exploration — not representative of final direction.

He sends one compact water bolt along a line of older wet marks.

developing current version v0.5

A long-range marksman whose quick water bolts soften targets but rarely finish them alone.

Archetype

A long-range marksman whose quick water bolts soften targets but rarely finish them alone.

Personality

The Suction Blaster is a serious ten-year-old who likes measurements, quiet preparation, and shots he can explain. He walks distances in his own paces and writes them on a manila index card in pencil. The numbers are exact for him and slightly wrong for anyone else.

He narrates shots under his breath and does not join in when other kids mock the card. He is proud of being steady, but he is not smug. When somebody needs the distance, he hands the card over without making them apologize.

Motivation

Winning means proving that preparation matters. He wants the street to trust the one kid who measured the hedge gap before the fight began. A clean hit from far away matters to him even when another kid has to finish the target.

How they fight

He uses a long foam pump blaster to fire quick, accurate bolts of water from beyond the reach of most kids. He is best in open sightlines, behind a defender, and against targets already under pressure. His short reload lets him change targets more often than the heavy artillery kids.

Each bolt adds only a little soak. He struggles to call anyone in by himself, and a fast attacker who closes the distance can stop him before another careful shot. Hedges, walls, and bubble cover remove the clear line he needs.

Field data

  • Age: 10.
  • Height / build: approximately 1.40 m (4 ft 7 in); medium build.
  • Weight: approximately 35 kg (77 lb).
  • Speed: steady (target); exact value unset.
  • Stamina / soak: called in at full soak (target); exact capacity and slowdown unset.
  • Strengths: long reach, accuracy, quick follow-up shots.
  • Weaknesses: low soak per bolt, blocked sightlines, close attackers.

From the studio

This revision uses casting sheet row 6 for age, identity, personality, range, and weaknesses. No Suction Blaster exists in the sim, so all combat values are marked as targets and no number is presented as current behavior. Earlier published revisions remain unchanged in the timeline.

Evolution timeline

  1. v0.1 — A quick-cycling ranged kid whose suction-pump blaster fires one short, arrow-like bolt of water instead of a sustained stream. seed
  2. v0.2 — The archer analog: a mobile, untethered kid firing one long-range arrow-like water pulse per quick pump cycle. developing
  3. v0.3 — The archer seed becomes a specific ten-year-old whose range card, under-the-breath narration, and deliberately quiet clothing all agree, and whose one real weakness is that a single bolt marks a kid without ever calling one in. developing
  4. v0.4 — A long-range marksman whose quick water bolts soften targets but rarely finish them alone. developing
  5. v0.5 — A long-range marksman whose quick water bolts soften targets but rarely finish them alone. developing
